The University of Montana Western is seeking applicants for an Assistant Volleyball Coach. This is a 12-month, full-time position, with benefits, and opportunities of full tuition waivers for any online graduate degrees at qualifying MUS institutions: Montana State University (Bozeman), Montana State University Northern, Montana State University Billings, University of Montana (Missoula), Montana Technological University, University of Montana Western.
The Assistant Volleyball Coach/Athletic Operations position will be responsible for assisting the women’s volleyball program and supporting the Director of Athletics in the day-to-day operations of the athletic department. This position will have a dual reporting structure, reporting to the head women’s volleyball coach and Director of Athletics.
Responsible for assisting with all aspects of a collegiate volleyball program. Including, but not limited to recruiting prospective student-athletes, organizing, and executing practice and game plans, assist in operational procedures such as travel, scheduling, individual and program development, camps, fundraising and community engagement. Must be familiar with and adhere to departmental policies and procedures, as well as NAIA and Frontier Conference regulations.
Athletic Operations will support the functional and operational day-to-day elements within the athletic department while assisting the Director of Athletics in the following ways: serving as concessions and ticketing manager at athletic events, supervising student workers, coordination and maintenance of travel forms and payment of invoices, maintaining student athlete contracts and aid records, and assisting in athletic department fundraising and general events.
Bachelor's degree required.
Supervise the student-athletes within the volleyball program.
Assist the Director of Athletics in the recruitment, training, scheduling and supervision of student workers for concessions and ticketing duties at home athletic events.
Knowledge of NAIA and Frontier Conference eligibility rules and regulations.
Strong oral communication skills, customer service skills and a

Excellent leadership qualities, communication and relationship building skills.
Ability to coordinate and execute department of athletic travel and fundraising logistics.
