Reporting to the Sr. Associate Athletic Director for Business, the Assistant Director, Business Operations will provide administrative support for the travel functions of UMBC Athletics, Recreation, and Physical Education program. This will include administering all aspects of the department Travel Card program, procuring busses and hotel for athletics travel, and acting as the main point of contact for the Athletic Department Travel Agency, rental car agency, and UMBC travel office. This position will also have responsibility for administering the cell phone program for the department, preparing departmental journal entries, and administering and reconciling all Athletic Department USM Foundation accounts.
Specific duties include:
Administer all aspects of the Travel Card program. Provide administrative support for department travel functions. Conducts internal fiscal audits, reconciliations & recommendation of travel operations for the Sr. Associate Athletic Director, Business & Finance. Reconcile all team and administrative revenues and expenses to University Peoplesoft accounting system. Prepare journal entries as needed for approval by the Sr. Associate Athletic Director, Business & Finance. Administer all aspects of the Department Cell Phone contracts. Administer and reconcile USM Foundation deposits and expenditures for all Athletics Foundation accounts. Reconciling processed payments. Performing other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
1 year (3 years preferred) of experience in business finance, accounting or related area
