The University of Pittsburgh's Broadcast and Video Department is seeking a qualified Director of Production Management - Pitt Studios to service the needs of the University's Athletic Department. This position will be responsible for collaborating with the Assistant Athletic Director of Broadcast and Video Production to assist with the planning and oversight of all post-production functions within the Athletic Department. This includes but is not limited to short-term and long-term production calendar planning, management of internal and external video requests, assisting with the maintenance of the post-production budget, and oversight of 3 Assistant Directors of Video Production - Pitt Studios. The position is responsible for providing video oversight for all Olympic sports, and Men's/Women's Basketball as needed across a total of 7 different facilities. This individual will also be responsible for working with vendors and freelancers on budgets, purchase orders, and invoices. This position may require travel to support Assistant Directors or to provide assistance with the postseason competition. This position will also require shooting and editing when necessary. This is a high-level position that assists the sports and support areas of Pitt Athletics in achieving success in a Power Five NCAA division l fast-paced, collegiate environment. Understanding how video production can enhance recruitment and support coaching philosophies for Pitt's sports programs and other support areas is essential.
Bachelor's degree with three to five years of experience required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted per university guidelines. Strong knowledge of Project Management, Planning and Organization, Communication, and Adobe Creative Cloud is required. Experience in Sony, Canon and other DSLR camera equipment is required. Must also have experience with basic lighting, audio, and Teleprompters.
