The University of Pittsburgh's Broadcast and Video Department is seeking a qualified Assistant Director of Video Production - Football to service the needs of the University's Athletic Department. This position will be responsible for collaborating with the Director of Broadcast and Video Production for Football to assist with the post-production workload within the Athletic Department Football creative team. This includes but is not limited to short-term and long-term Football production calendar planning, shooting, and editing of internal and external video requests, assisting with the maintenance of the post-production budget, and overseeing sports team video coverage as directed by the Director of Broadcast and Video Production for Football. This position requires travel for in-season and post-season videos. This position requires frequent camera operation, editing, and setup/teardown of equipment in Pitt Athletic facilities. This is a position that assists the sports and support areas of Pitt Athletics in achieving success in a Power Five NCAA division l fast-paced, collegiate environment. Understanding how video production can enhance recruitment and support coaching philosophies for the sports programs and other support areas is essential.
Bachelor's degree with one to two years of experience required. Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Planning and Organization, and Communication is preferred. Experience in Lighting equipment, Sony, Canon, and other DSLR camera equipment is preferred. A basic understanding of audio and Teleprompter equipment is recommended. A basic understanding of color correction and sound correction is preferred. Previous Experience with a Division I NCAA Athletic Department is preferred. A combination of experience and education may be substituted for minimum education or experience.
