The Broadcast Producer will produce, manage, and execute all Texas State Athletics live video productions including ESPN game broadcasts and video board productions. This position is responsible for ensuring that all productions maintain and adhere to the philosophies and regulations of the Department of Athletics, Texas State University, the Sun Belt Conference and the NCAA.
The Broadcast Producer will set-up, produce and direct all live game video broadcasts including ESPN+ and in-venue broadcasts. The Producer will recruit, hire and staff personnel for all broadcasts; coordinate production crew and talent scheduling; work in conjunction with the university to educate, establish and oversee student production crews; create and distribute game highlights for Texas State Athletics digital media platforms, social media and other media outlets.
Required:
Ability to produce aspects of an ESPN and in-venue broadcast
Experience with audio/video production and pre-production utilizing current technologies
Skill in effectively directing the work of others
Ability to work under time constraints and meet assigned deadlines
Ability to work nights and weekends
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree with additional consideration for Master’s degree
Experience specifically in sports television broadcast production
Experience operating Ross Carbonite (or comparable) live video production system
Video production and editing experience in an intercollegiate athletics program
