Position Summary: Under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer, the Assistant Athletic trainer provides care for student-athletes participating in the University’s athletic programs.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field; master’s degree preferred.
2 years of experience in athletic training setting.
Preceptorship experience preferred, but not required.
NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
Nebraska State Licensure or eligible.
CPR and AED for Professional Rescuer Certification or higher.
Knowledge of information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat injuries including symptoms, treatment alternatives, injury prevention measures and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
Proficiency in the practices of athletic training, including conditioning and injury prevention, as well as injury assessment and rehabilitation.
Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
Ability to communicate professionally with a diverse constituency.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge and understanding of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
