Michigan Stars Elite is in search of one to two dedicated, experienced and professional coaches for the 2023-2024 seasonal year.
The coaches will report to the club’s Director of Coaching.
Our Elite teams range from U11-U19 boys and girls, and participate in national platforms Elite Academy (boys U13+), NLC (girls U13+) and the state’s Directors Academy (boys & girls U12).
Potential hires will coach up to two Elite teams, and will have the opportunity to coach at our club affiliates, Michigan Stars Lightning or Michigan Stars Revolution, to round out a full slate of coaching.
Responsibilities:
Uphold club core values as outlined within the club’s philosophy and curriculum.
Implement club curriculum, effectively periodize and provide a yearly seasonal plan for all teams coached.
Write, prepare and execute training sessions three times a week per Elite team and twice a week for affiliate teams.
Operate Veo game-recording camera, and review and analyze video in order to implement within training sessions.
Coordinate and collaborate with coaching staff and administration.
Attend scheduled staff meetings and in-house coach education events.
Utilize TeamSnap to post schedules and updates, and communicate with teams’ parents through the app.
Commit to the travel schedule required in order to coach teams within national platforms. Coverage, reimbursements and per diem provided.
Other duties as needed to fulfill the coaching role.
Qualifications:
Excellent and effective communication with players and parents.
USSF ‘C’ License or higher.
5+ years coaching youth soccer.
Demonstrated experience developing players.
Experience using Veo/recording software and holding team video sessions to further develop players in line with club curriculum.
College or high-level playing experience is preferred.
Willingness to continue coaching education - reimbursement provided.

Competitive pay, dependent upon experience and qualifications.
