Ave Maria University is currently accepting applications for the position of a full-time Head Men's and Women’s Swim Coach.
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the primary duties of the Head Men's and Women’s Swim Coach is to teach, train, and develop the skills of student athletes in the sport of swim while integrating the Catholic faith through mentorship and virtue development.
The head swim coach will also manage the planning and administration of the men’s and women’s swim programs and will provide leadership and oversight to the student-athletes, serving as a positive mentor, encouraging virtue development, and creating a positive image aligned with the Ave Maria University mission.
The sport duties include, but are not limited to, recruitment and retention of mission-fit student-athletes, academic monitoring, scheduling, travel, budget management, and overall program management.
The head swim coach will adhere to all guidelines and regulations set forth by the Sun Conference, the NAIA, and Ave Maria University.
A Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of previous coaching experience (preferably at the collegiate level) are required.
Candidates must show a demonstrated knowledge of and strong commitment to the mission of the university and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
