SCAD Atlanta seeks an experienced head coach to manage the daily operations of the bowling team.
In this full-time role, you will coach and instruct student-athletes on the strategies and techniques necessary to prepare for athletic competition. You will also engage in relationship building within the SCAD community to establish a positive opinion of SCAD athletics and bowling, make travel arrangements, prepare training programs, schedule competitions, and run team practices.
The successful candidate is an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and demonstrates the ability to cultivate effective working relationships in a team-oriented environment. A commitment to discipline, honesty, and integrity is essential, as are strong organizational and time-management skills. The candidate should also have experience managing budgets and fundraising in a college environment.
Bachelor of Arts degree in a relevant discipline (master’s degree preferred)
One to three years of collegiate or professional bowling coaching experience
USBC Certified Coach (silver or higher)
Valid driver’s license
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) required,
Bowling coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level is required.
Valid Drivers license.
USBC Certified Coach (Silver or Higher)
Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid Driver's License, USBC Certified Coach (Silver or Above)
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
