Job Function: This position is primarily responsible for sourcing, contract management, and spend management for assigned groups within the National Office.
Job Responsibilities
Manage purchasing RFx (RFP, RFQ, RFI) events, vendor negotiations and related activities for assigned groups within the Association to ensure best total value for the Association and compliance with purchasing policy.
Perform bid analysis, reporting, and benchmarking for internal partners, as needed.
Collaborate with Corporate Alliances group to ensure proper use/vetting of licensees where appropriate.
Negotiate, manage, and execute assigned contracts based on internal customer needs, prior to agreement expiration.
Maintain strong/active relationships with key internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify opportunities for improvement, drive best practices, ensure contract compliance, and manage issues.
Assist in creation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the supplier management program to include supplier evaluation and classification, coordination of receipt of required documentation and completion of review process as needed.
Attend and participate in industry specific trade fairs, groups and professional associations that are mutually beneficial to professional development and the Association.
Assist Director of Purchasing in developing sourcing strategies in support of Association key spend areas.
Other duties as assigned by Director of Purchasing and Procurement.
Job Requirements
Education Required: Bachelor's degree.
Minimum of 3-5 years procurement and/or sourcing experience in organization of comparable or larger size.
Experience with Oracle Cloud Financials and Purchasing system strongly preferred.
Ability to meet deadlines while on time constraints.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of basic budget procedures and guidelines.
Experience in Windows environment with emphasis on Microsoft Office suite.

This position will be based out of the national office in Indianapolis, Indiana. Current work environment is hybrid; 3 days in the office and 2 days are remote.
All national office staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. As a new hire, you will be required to be fully vaccinated within 8 weeks from acceptance of offer and you will be required to show proof of that vaccination. National office staff (including new hires) who are not fully vaccinated, will be required to undergo weekly PCR testing until fully vaccinated. New hires may submit a request for a medical or religious exemption to the vaccine requirement 1-week post offer if they cannot comply with this mandate.
