This position will oversee all aspects of a Division I program, including the management of one full-time assistant coach and one graduate assistant. The Head Coach will provide positive direction and leadership to maintain a successful field hockey program; plan and administer all aspects of the program; coach, recruit, adhere to NCAA and MAC compliance policies; demonstrated ability to be fiscally responsible and manage complex budgets; have the ability to work with athletic communications on public relations initiatives; and be directly involved with fundraising and university development initiatives
Minimum two years coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level
Demonstrated collegiate field hockey recruiting
Knowledge of and commitment to following NCAA rules and policies
Possess proven integrity
Demonstrated leadership skills
Have the ability to motivate student-athletes to be successful academically and athletically
Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
