Under general supervision the Head Women’s Golf Coach recruits student-athletes, schedules games and practices and makes recommendations for scholarships. Contributes to the educational mission of the University by offering direction and instruction in the area of Golf athletics.
•Instruct, teach and assist in the development of players during practices. Follow and conform to NCAA rules and regulations.
•Actively coach the team during games.
•Recruit players for the following year and make scholarship recommendations;
•Transport and supervise players while on the road.
•Provide accurate data to public relations about the team and its members and coordinate score reporting.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Knowledge of teaching techniques and the ability to effectively communicate those techniques to student-athletes.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
Ability to drive a personal or university vehicle for the purpose of university business.
Ability to receive telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and communicate with others by telephone.
Ability to travel when necessary.
Knowledge of recruiting techniques.
Proficiency to handle various office machines including but not limited to: computer keyboard, computer software applications, calculator, copy machine, and fax.
Bachelor's degree in the related field is required or a high school diploma with an outstandingly high-level amateur or professional playing and/or coaching experience.
At least one year of experience coaching golf at the high school, college, or higher competitive level or at least three years experience playing golf at the college level or higher.
Valid driver’s license. The license must meet insurance company rules and regulations for driving underwriting criteria.
