•Assist the Director of Digital Content with all aspects of game day production, set-up and broadcasting for all live event streaming on ESPN3 and other platforms. •Assist in the instruction and supervision of game day staff, in all aspects of the sports broadcasting and digital media initiatives within the athletic department. •Assist in the production, direction and distribution of weekly highlight shows, athletic program video segments, feature pieces and live event coverage promoting both the UMaine athletic department and the University on GoBlackBears.com. •Assist with updating the official Athletics Twitter, Facebook and other social media accounts. •Travels with teams as necessary to provide athletic video support for the department. •Schedule students to assist with set-up, in-game production and postgame wrap-up
A bachelor’s degree is required, master’s degree preferred.
Possess at least two years of experience in a video-production environment required.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to travel normally requiring a valid driver's license.
Experience with broadcast technical directing and producing is highly preferred.
Experience with set-up, broadcast production, instruction and in-game/in-event streaming is also required and knowledge of the ESPN3 collegiate program is high preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of video equipment is preferred.
Experience in creating, filming, editing and posting video content to various online locations (web, social media) is required.
Strong knowledge of editing programs (i.e. Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop) and production equipment (i.e. Ross and Tricaster switchers, 3-Play system, Xpression graphics software) is preferred.
