Muskingum University invites applications in the department of Intercollegiate Athletics for a full-time position of Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach. Muskingum University is a Division III member of the NCAA and a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference. The successful candidate will report to the Vice President and Director of Athletics and will be responsible for the coordination of the Women’s Lacrosse program and for the recruitment and retention of highly talented student athletes.
Primary responsibilities include working effectively with students, staff, faculty, and the administration of Muskingum University, management and budgetary responsibility of the Lacrosse program, as well as supervision of staff (i.e., Assistant Coaches, Grad Assistant, and students) and teaching courses for the Health and Physical Education Department as assigned by the Department Chair. Other duties may be the purchase of equipment, maintaining equipment inventory, fundraising activities, game management, and coordination of travel and lodging for away contests.
Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree preferred in Health, Physical Education, or related field. Competent knowledge and experience in intercollegiate coaching and Division III recruitment for student/athlete is required; experience as a head coach or assistant coach is preferred.
Candidates should possess a strong commitment to motivate, teach, counsel, and recruit student athletes within the guidelines of the NCAA and the Ohio Athletic Conference.
