Sports Medicine, Sports Medicine - Athletic Training
Assist in the medical supervision of student athletes and in monitoring the safety of equipment and procedures. Provide administrative support. Reports to Assistant Athletic Director. Assist in the medical supervision of student athletes; provide athletic training coverage for all Intercollegiate Athletics programs; provide treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries; refer to medical personnel.
Assist in coordinating annual physical examinations for student athletes; maintain student athletes’ training and medical records.
Assist in selection of protective equipment; maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
Prepare all athletic facilities and supplies for practices and competitions; supervise the use of athletic training rooms and equipment; enforce policies and procedures of athletic training facilities; maintain athletic training room records and filing system.
Assist in the development and implementation of conditioning, weight training, and cardiovascular training programs.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Master's degree in related field. One year of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Must be able to work nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel for away games.
Certification from Board of Certification (BOC). Ohio Licensed Athletic Trainer or eligibility to obtain Ohio Athletic Trainer License.
