Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Director of Special Events and Programming for Rutgers Athletics. This position reports to the Associate Athletic Director of Facilities and Operations.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Manages existing annual outside rentals as well as develop analytic strategies on increasing annual rental agreements, including all Athletic Division controlled facilities to include events that take place in the SHI Stadium, the Rutgers Athletic Center, RWJ Athletic Performance Center, Bainton Field, the Rodkin Academic Success Center and all athletic venues. Serves as the liaison with the booking and venue services contractor as we prepare for hosting large scale events to include concerts, comedy shows, festivals, etc. Serves as the liaison for athletics with the Office of Community Affairs in regards to any commercials, video shoots or photo shoots that will take place in athletic facilities. Develops a department wide plan leveraging data analytics to maximize all revenue streams, streamline the reporting and conducts a research initiative to provide data of the increased revenue.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in an athletic department and/or event related experience.
