Liberty University is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Lacrosse Coach for the Liberty Women’s Lacrosse team. The assistant coach will report to the Head Coach and assist with developing a competitive lacrosse program that is pursuing an ASUN championship. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, coaching the team in practice and individual sessions, organizing practice sessions, breaking down individual and team film, organizing and designing camps and clinics, and assisting with the overall operations of the program. The Assistant Coach will evaluate and recruit qualified student-athletes from all over the country, to Liberty University; whose athletic skills would allow the program to be highly competitive, and whose academic abilities make such student-athletes and excellent fit for our program. Applicant must have clear knowledge of NCAA rules. Successful candidates must have a strong desire to learn, grow and pour into our student-athletes. The Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach supports the Head Coach by providing leadership and integrity to the program set forth by the Head Coach which includes, but is not limited to, communicating, creating, planning, organizing and leading. The Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach is expected to conduct themselves in a manner representative of the University, the department and the sport both on and off the field of competition. Successful candidates will be prepared to develop our student-athletes, athletically, socially, spiritually and academically. The Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach will be expected to help us grow and sustain our culture by pursuing our values and standards every day. Two to four years coaching experience with a competitive club, high school or collegiate program, preferred; prior collegiate coaching experience (and/or a combination of coaching and competitive playing experience)
Competitive collegiate playing experience
Experience coaching offense
Social media experience
Familiarity with ARMS and Teamworks software, or similar.
Prior experience with video editing software
Familiarity with Catapult or similar.
