The University of Connecticut is accepting applications and nominations for the full-time position of Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach.
Responsibilities include: assisting the Head Men’s Soccer Coach in planning and organizing all phases of a Division I men’s soccer program including recruitment of prospective student-athletes; scheduling and travel arrangements; development of the student-athlete; game preparation; marketing and community involvement; and other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Soccer Coach.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; three years collegiate coaching experience; knowledge of the recruiting process of qualified student-athletes; a demonstrated working knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations and the awarding of athletic scholarships; strong commitment to the academic goals of the University; and excellent organizational, communication and public relations skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Collegiate playing experience; prior experience with the administration of a collegiate team budget and team travel; extensive experience in game video tape review and preparation of scouting reports; and experience in marketing and community involvement through youth soccer programs.
Salary: commensurate with experience.
