The Graphics Designer Associate is an entry level position with growth opportunities. This position will work as a part of our creative and marketing team to create exciting and engaging content to marketing and promote our events and teams. This position will also play a role in the implementation of branding and communication strategies for Purdue Athletics and the John Purdue Club. This is a one year positon with opportunity for an additional year.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, Interface Graphics, Web Design, or related field. REQUIRED: Demonstrable knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).Understanding and knowledge of design concept and application. Must be able to provide a portfolio which highlights a variety of projects including identity design, advertising and/or page layout. Strong organizational skills with ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage several projects at one time. Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, and have the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely. Ability to work independently and self-manage project flow. Team player with the ability to work well in a team setting and across diverse groups, organizations and departments. Must be detail-oriented, proactive, energetic, curious, creative thinker, trouble shooter and problem solver. Computer proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. PREFERRED: A strong understanding of sports.
