The UC Davis Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) in partnership with the Associated Students, University of California, and Davis (ASUCD) has established a number of new full-time staff positions that will be referred to as, ICA & ASUCD Fellowships. These positions will be available to recent UC Davis graduates who aspire to work within Intercollegiate Athletics and meet the qualifications as outlined in the following job description.
Under close supervision of the Director, Multi-Media Services this internship is designed to expose the individual to all aspects of design, digital, and social media platforms, including game-day services, and fan engagement and enhancement for all UC Davis men's and women's Intercollegiate Athletic sports programs.
Assist with creative campaigns by working with our Men’s & Women’s Basketball programs, Athletics Communications and Public Relations, Marketing, Development and other external department staff to deliver a consistent message to all parties.
Assist in providing dynamic video content for in-game entertainment and social media platforms.
Assist in the production, coordination, and execution of the following: directing, set-up, lighting, sound, camera operation; in-game content for video replay boards and broadcasts; compositing, graphics, editing, interviews, press conferences, and other special events; produce annual season highlight and review videos, commercial television spots, banquet videos, marketing and promotional videos.
Assist in further developing initiatives in new media, social media and multimedia -- including video (previews, highlights, features, etc.), social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn), and assist in graphic design projects.
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in design, photography, and other multi-media platform segments.
Excellent writing, editing, typing, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign and After Effects.
Quick decision making and problem solving skills.
Ability to interpret and manage brand standards.
Strong familiarity with the most common social media platforms.
Experience on Macintosh computers, although familiarity with both Mac OS and Windows is preferred.
Graduate from UC Davis within the last year.
