The Intercollegiate Athletics Department at Southwestern College is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.
It is the responsibility of the Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach to design, organize, implement, facilitate, oversee and evaluate training programs for assigned sport teams. The Graduate Assistant will communicate with assigned sport coaches and athletic training staff for training updates and injury analysis. Collaborate with Strength and Conditioning Staff members on program design and evaluation during weekly staff meetings. Attend professional development conferences and clinics with staff. Oversee Strength and Conditioning Program Internship coaches in the completion of curriculum and coaching competencies.
Qualifications -Bachelor’s degree and admission into the Southwestern College graduate program -CSCS, SCCC, or USAW required -Organizational and computer skills (Microsoft office) -Experience designing and implementing training programs for a variety of athletes is preferred -Ability to work independently and efficiently -Occasional weekend and evening hours required
Compensation Stipend: $5,000/year Tuition: Full tuition waiver Start date will be August 2021
