The Associate Director - Marketing will work as part of the Athletic Department’s external operations team and will serve as the primary marketing contact for assigned sports.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Associate Director’s duties will include creating and executing a comprehensive marketing plan for assigned sports, inclusive of attendance and revenue driving initiatives, in-game fan experience strategy, and overall brand marketing for the program(s).
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sport management, journalism, business, or related area of study from an accredited institution of higher education
At least two years experience in sports marketing, branding, communications, sponsorship, or related field
Graduate degree in sports management, marketing, business, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
Experience working with a collegiate or professional sports team
Experience directing a college basketball or college football game
Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign
Experience with email/database marketing
Experience being involved and/or directing videoboard and event run of show elements
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong time management skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to organize and precisely execute a game script
