The Atlantic 10 Conference is seeking applicants for Assistant Director of Championships and Compliance. For Championships, this position reports directly to the Senior Associate Commissioner/COO and has responsibility for championship administration in designated sports. In the compliance area, the position reports directly to the Senior Associate Commissioner for Governance and maintains the day-to-day management of the compliance services provided to the A-10 membership.
Specific Responsibilities: Championships --Administration ·Manage all aspects of designated A-10 Championships including budget management, advanced planning, marketing, championship manual preparation and updating, host site coordination and communication, event management, and A-10 branding. Specific sport assignments to be designated. ·Serve as secondary for women’s basketball championship operations and officiating duties as assigned by Senior Associate Commissioner for WBB. ·Serve as on-site secondary support staff for men’s basketball. Regular Season Responsibilities ·Coordinate designated Olympic Sport administration through developing, updating and execution of conference policies, guidelines and sport manuals, etc. ·Develop and build conference competition schedules for assigned sports. ·Liaison to official coordinators for designated sports inclusive of budget oversight, evaluation of officiating programs related to recruitment, development and retention of Division I quality officials. Evaluation of officiating coordinators’ effectiveness and service to the A-10. ·Coordinate sport committee meetings for designated sports and work with A-10 administrators in all areas of regular season and Championship event operations for each designated sport.
Compliance --Administration •Assist with interpretation services, rules education, waiver administration and Level III violations. •Provide support in the areas of policies/procedures and monthly compliance calls •Administer the National Letter of Intent Program Student-Athlete Advisory Committee -Serve as the primary liaison for the A-10 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Responsibilities include monthly conference calls, annual in-person/virtual meeting organization and supervision, coordination with both campus and NCAA SAAC programming leadership development.
General Duties •Assist with preparation for conference meetings as needed. •Develop and cultivate positive working relations with internal and external constituents. Provide leadership in a professional manner while representing the conference and overseeing Championship events. •Complete and/or manage special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Preferred) with 3 - 5 years of experience in championships and compliance. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast pace environment. Nontraditional work hours, travel and continuing education expected.
