A successful Alpine Ski Coach/Outdoor Recreation Director at Clarkson University will provide effective leadership in each of the following areas in relation to their sport: recruiting, teaching/coaching, counseling, marketing, alumni relations, fund raising, and sport administration. It will be necessary to prioritize and balance these activities in a manner that best promotes and advances their sport within all Clarkson University, USCSA and NCAA rules and regulations. This position will also include additional duties as the Outdoor Recreation Director, where the qualified applicant will be responsible for providing a vision for the University Community with regards to Outdoor Recreation, and is the liaison to outdoor clubs at the University. This is a 10 month position that requires the applicant to reside on campus due to job duties, housing will be provided.
* Demonstrated commitment to furthering the goals and objectives of both, the University and Athletics Department * Ability to successfully recruit quality student-athletes * Understanding of the role of student-athlete in competitive academic/athletic environment * Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to a variety of constituency groups * Knowledge of the NCAA Division III rules and regulations
