Walsh University is looking to hire a graduate assistant coach for the Women’s Volleyball program. Walsh is a Division II University located in North Canton, Ohio. The Walsh Cavaliers compete in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the head and assistant coaches with all areas of managing the volleyball program including, but not limited to: •Adhering to any and all NCAA, Great Midwest Athletic Conference and Walsh University policies, rules, regulations, and operational procedures.
•Assisting in the organization and direction of all activities of the varsity and junior varsity volleyball team.
•Assisting in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes to the University.
•Ability to coach athletes in any and all positions.
•Assisting with game strategy, film breakdown and video sessions.
•Transporting student-athletes for competition, practice, events as needed.
•Assisting with summer camps and fund-raising activities.
•Performing related departmental duties as required.
•Aiding in the marketing and social media presence of the program.
Bachelor’s degree required. Must be accepted and enrolled as Walsh University graduate student before formally starting the position.
