Ohio University College of Business, invites applications for a full-time Assistant Director, Graduate Professional Programs Enrollment in our Graduate Programs department. The position is based on campus in beautiful Athens, Ohio and is expected to begin in April 2021. The Assistant Director, Graduate Professional Programs Enrollment is a full-time administrative recruiting professional who will collaboratively lead the development and execution of recruitment and admissions strategy for our graduate Professional Sports Administration Program (PMSA) and support the recruiting efforts of the Professional Master of Business Administration (PMBA) as part of the Professional Programs Enrollment Team. This position will be responsible for creating and executing the strategy to develop a robust candidate pipeline through tactics including shaping the marketing strategy, networking with prospective students and alumni, delivering program info and content sessions, developing and nurturing leads, and credibly connecting with candidates. Responsibilities also include managing the admissions process for the PMSA program, leveraging Directors and others at key points in the recruitment process, and using judgement to adjust efforts to yield full classes of top-quality students. Additionally, this position will advise candidates on programs and admissions requirements, monitor progress of applications, assist in the evaluation of program applicants, and provide recruiting and cohort reporting.
Primary Accountabilities: Lead the Recruiting Strategy Development and Execution for PMSA: Lead the development of the marketing and recruiting strategy and associated cycle calendar for the PMSA with the Assistant Dean, Program Director, and Communications Specialist. Strategy will be developed with cohort quality and diversity as a key tenet. Lead the execution of recruiting strategy for the PMSA to maximize the volume of qualified applicants and yield the targeted number of desired students. Work closely with UCM, Assistant Dean, and Program Director to shape marketing campaigns. Collaborate with UCM to develop and continually update marketing collateral and communications. Develop and deliver high impact recruiting events such as information sessions, application workshops, and panel discussions. Generate additional leads through creative means such as networking with alumni and sports industry professionals.
Lead the Recruitment & Admissions Efforts for PMSA: Rapidly follow-up on all inbound leads and inquiries in a manner that puts the prospective student at the center. Establish and execute a lead outreach cadence to facilitate engagement. Seek to understand the candidate’s goals while communicating value, delivering the OHIO Brand, and qualifying the prospect as a possible student. Develop appropriate rapport and relationships with prospective students, demonstrating credibility, confidence, and humility. Guide prospective students through their decision to apply as well as the admissions process while delivering the Bobcat Brand. Monitor and communicate progress of applications to facilitate the submission of complete application packages. Create and deploy communications to the funnel at key times to drive engagement/action by candidates such as registering for events and submitting applications. Determine strategy for and execute call campaigns and other personal outreach at critical points during the recruitment cycle. Develop individualized strategies to engage high priority candidates with Program Director, current/former students during key stages in the recruitment process. Facilitate OHIO’s internal admissions process. Evaluate applications and organize virtual interview days as determined by the admissions cycle. Facilitate decision process with Program Director and Assistant Dean, ensuring adherence to College and University policies. Report and monitor candidate pipeline, anticipate enrollment challenges and deploy tactics to bolster pipeline quality as needed. Anticipate yield concerns, create and execute strategies with Program Director to maximize yield. Collaborate with Financial and Operations Officer and Program Director to engage and support the transition from candidate to student.
Support Recruiting and Admissions Efforts for PMBA including strategy development, lead outreach and communication, candidate review, candidate interviews, and reporting.
Reporting and Analysis: Maintain up-to-date records in Salesforce.com. Create/maintain cohort evaluation spreadsheets, cohort demographic reports for each program to evaluate pipeline health and the effectiveness of marketing and recruiting strategies. Evaluate entry survey data to inform changes to recruiting strategy and practices. Continually evaluate systems, processes, and tactics to recommend improvement opportunities. Develop checklist and trigger system updates, application open/close dates, funnel rollovers, etc. as recruiting cycles open and close
OHIO’s part-time PMSA is an online program blended with in-person residencies that allows working sports professionals to earn their master’s degree without interrupting their busy work schedule. The Professional MBA program offers working professional a blended delivery curriculum of online learning and on-campus workshops.
