Quinnipiac University's Department of Athletics seeks applications for an Assistant Coach, Women's Ice Hockey. In this role, you will be responsible for identification and recruitment of elite student-athletes, as well as impacting individual and team development on and off the ice - contributing to practices, meetings, and other focused sessions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of hockey, demonstrated ability to teach, and passion for continued growth.

Responsibilities:
Adhere to the highest standard of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, ECAC Hockey and NCAA rules and regulations.
Identification, recruitment, and retention of elite student-athletes.
Knowledge and experience to contribute to practice design & delivery, positively impacting individual and team development.
Mentor student-athletes to aspire and achieve academically and athletically.
Facilitate individual and team video sessions.
Analyze Quinnipiac and opponent game film in preparation of competition strategy.
Ability to conduct high level individual skill sessions.
Assist in organizing and coaching camps and clinics.
Overall program administration including, liaising with admissions and NCAA compliance offices.
Assist with special projects and tasks as requested by Head Coach.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree preferred
Qualifications:
3-5 years of successful coaching experience or as a player at an elite national level
Knowledge of, and commitment to, NCAA rules and regulations are essential
Effective oral and written communication
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to manage a 2-3 hour practice on the ice
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to work nights and weekends
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
