The individual serves the Athletic Department as the Director of Business Services and will be responsible for satisfying the financial reporting requirements of the Athletic Department. In this role, the employee will be required to complete all mandated financial reports, such as the Federal EADA Report, NCAA/AUP Report, Private Business Use Questionnaire, Economic Impact Report, NCAA Bowl Report, ACC Football Event Cancellation Report, etc. He/she will also be responsible for preparing other financial reports and analyses as reasonably requested by the Athletic Department and University staff. Additionally, the Director of Business Services will be required to review, reconcile, and track all ticketing, fundraising, sponsorship, and other external revenues on a monthly basis.
He/she will work with the Ticket Office and Panther Club to identify, reconcile, and rectify variances between the Athletic Department’s Paciolan system and University general ledger. Once reconciled, the employee will compile development reports that summarize fundraising revenues/expenses and prepare monthly amusement taxes, Heinz Field rent, Sports and Exhibition Authority (SEA) surcharges, and other ticketing-related payments. The individual will report directly to the Associate Athletic Director for Business Services and receive other tasks and direction from the Executive Associate Athletic Director for Business Administration and Human Resources.
Bachelor's degree is required. Some experience in finance and/or with NCAA regulations in addition to experience in an Athletics setting is highly preferred and can be substituted for required years of experience.
