Randolph College, located in Lynchburg, Virginia, seeks a part-time Assistant Coach for our Track & Field program. Randolph College is a co-ed liberal arts college that competes at the Division III level of the NCAA and Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with coaching and managing the track & field program with a specialty in the sprint and jump events; performing services to support an active, student-oriented campus environment while complying with national, local, college, NCAA and conference laws, regulations, standards and codes; working as a professional educator and role model to enable individual students to develop as student-athletes and to work together as a successful, competitive intercollegiate team; assisting the recruitment of student-athletes who demonstrate the potential to be successful academically and by contributing to the track & field programs; mentoring and monitoring the academic success of the student-athletes. Qualifications include previous experience either coaching or participating in track and field at the collegiate level. Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification. Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of one (1) year coaching experience is preferred.
