Waldorf University (NAIA) in Forest City, Iowa, seeks applicants for a Graduate Assistant in the Softball program preferably with fielding and hitting expertise. The Graduate Assistant appointment includes an online graduate tuition waiver over 12 consecutive online academic terms and a monetary stipend of $1,000 per month for up to 18 months over the course of the educational program. An anticipated work/stipend schedule will be determined based on start date which typically follows the academic calendar periods between August and May. Optional on-campus housing (basic residence hall room) included and meal plan options available. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, assisting in monitor the academic progress of student athletes, overseeing weight training and conditioning sessions, performing individual skill development workouts, conducting film exchange, onsite coaching duties, learning and involvement in all phases of the recruiting process, and other duties as assigned by the head coach.
Must have prior collegiate softball experience, preference given to those with fielding and hitting expertise
A dedication to students, and an interest in pursuing a career in coaching
A valid driver’s license with a good driving record
interest in pursuing a career in Athletic Coaching and/or Administration
Evenings and weekend travel is required
Completion of Bachelor’s degree meeting acceptance standards of our graduate program (by start date)
