The Director of Operations functions as the operational administrator for the Girls Academy (GA), serving as an administrative representative to all internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the game. She/he is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the GA.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Director of Operations performs various functions, primarily involving operational needs to the GA.
The primary duties, tasks, and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversight of all administrative duties of the GA
Oversight of registration of the GA and its members
Work with League Commissioner to manage all operational planning of the GA; such as, scheduling of league events and league matches
Administrative support to member clubs for registration, scheduling, and other operational needs
Support the League Commissioner and GA board with administrative assistance
Work with League Commissioner to enforce all rules, policies and frameworks of the GA and Board of Directors
Prepare and submit monthly reports on the GA to the League Commissioner
Other duties assigned by the League Commissioner and Board of Directors
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Knowledge: A minimum of 3 years working in a soccer league or soccer operations role is preferred. In depth knowledge of youth soccer, especially the women’s game. Experience in administrative areas, registrations systems, event management and league schedule is preferred. Background in customer service, administration, and operations.
Leadership Skills: Must be able to work independently and manage the GA in a virtual setting --- must be self-motivated and be able to work with others.
Organizational Skills: Must have experience with computer and league software. Strong oral and writing skills. Must be able to exceed at handling multiple tasks, projects, relationships, and conversations.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with and influence internal external stakeholders.
Physically attend all National showcases, events, and meetings.
Participate in meetings as requested by the GA Board of Directors and League Commissioner
Represent the GA at major soccer events (e.g., AGMs, Conventions, etc)
Some travel expected
Ability to work weekends expected
Ability to lift 25 pounds expected
