The Assistant Coach for Men’s Lacrosse assists the Head Coach in the planning and operation of the men’s lacrosse program at Cornell University. This includes team training sessions, all competitions, and providing input on player evaluation and other decisions concerning team operations. The Assistant Coach also has both on- and off-campus recruiting responsibilities, to identify, encourage and evaluate application and acceptance of student athletes at Cornell in accordance with the Ivy League, NCAA and University policies as assigned by the head coach. This position will play a key role in the development of our program culture and identity.
Please note: This is an 11-month, fixed-term position with an expected term of 7/1/2020 to 5/31/2021. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Bachelor's degree with up to 2 years lacrosse experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous collegiate coaching or playing experience, especially in NCAA Division I, preferred.
Credentials should reflect proven success and potential in coaching, recruiting and in working with student-athletes.
Must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic and a relentless recruiter.
Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations.
Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Experience with video editing software. Prior experience with Hudl Sportscode software preferred.
