Global Premier Soccer Iowa and Altoona Soccer Club are seeking applications for the position of part time Staff Coaches. A variety of opportunities are available within several programs that run throughout the calendar year. Positions involved include:
Age Group Head Coach (Select)
Grassroots I – GPS Juniors support Staff Coach.
Individuals would also work in association with other technical staff under the guidance of the club Executive director and DOC’s in delivering age-specific content and in keeping with the GPS IOWA Playing Concept & Philosophy. These individuals should be highly motivated and have ambitions to continue their own personal development in achieving licenses within the USSF and United Soccer Coaches Systems, as well as other opportunities provided by GPS IOWA.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide training for competitive teams that follows the established curriculum and Periodized Training Plan.
Utilize coaching resources and software to help plan and manage training sessions and gameplay.
Report progress and results to the DOC and Executive Director
Conduct match preparation meetings and analysis with team
Provide additional technical training for other club teams within the coach’s primary age group
Be available for additional training programs offered by the club
Provide player assessments a minimum three (2) times per year
Negotiable, depending upon experience and/or soccer specific education, diplomas and courses

Detailed understanding of the development phases of youth players and optimal training and performance practices
Desire to continue to improve Licenses and Education in the game

Ability to act, implement and follow GPS IOWA Club Philosophies
Experience with and a passion for personal education and development
Strong communications skills and an ability to convey messages to parents, players and club
