Regis University’s Department of Athletics is seeking applicants for a Graduate Assistant position in its Sports Information office. The graduate assistant will provide essential support services for a 12 sport NCAA Division II athletic department.
The position will report directly to the Sports Information Director and will perform tasks as assigned, including but not limited to:
Serve as a primary media contact for men’s and women’s golf or cross-country, women’s soccer and baseball;
Assist in event coverage of home events (statistical compilation and public address announcing);
Write and edit press releases, student-athlete biographies, and feature stories;
Website content creation and maintenance for Regis University Athletics page www.regisrangers.com;
Assist with graphic design;
Video board management;
Contribute to the Rangers social media platforms;
Assist in the hiring, assignment, and supervision of a large student worker group and table staff for home events;
Assist administrative staff with game-day operations;
Provide support for live event video streaming;

Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into a Regis University graduate program. Must have proven written and oral communications skills. Candidates will have experience in StatCrew, Genius Sports NCAA LiveStats, and basic Microsoft Office. Experience with SIDEARM or comparable online content management system a plus. Nights and weekend hours required along with occasional travel. Start date is flexible, but recommended no later than August 1, 2020.

Prior experience with Photoshop and InDesign, as well as prior experience in a college sports information setting, is highly preferred.
Additional Salary Information: The graduate assistant position is a two or three year assignment during the 2020-2021 academic year. The graduate assistant will receive $15,000 in the form of a scholarship to cover tuition, fees, and some living expenses.
