The Schottenstein Center at The Ohio State University is seeking a Guest Services Coordinator. The Guest Services Coordinator reports to the Director of Guest Services. Assures that Guest Experience elements for athletic events and concerts are executed at Ohio Stadium, The Schottenstein Center, The Covelli Center and other Athletics venues; provides supervision of all event staff during events; assists with payroll management; assists Event Managers with event staffing plans and preparation; serves as Event Manager for select sporting and special events; assists with the recruitment, hiring, and training of event staff; assists in scheduling event staff and building security; preparation of event day reports and summary reports; assists with the Reward and Recognition program for all event staff and assists with team member special events; assists in supervision of interns and student assistants; assists other department staff with department project preparation and implementation. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays required.
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel; highly organized; excellent verbal and written communication; experience in large facility scheduling and event planning; attention to detail and well-developed communication skills; proven ability to meet deadlines; ability to communicate with a diverse internal and external constituency; ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment; experience with Kronos Timekeeping software.
