Description of Responsibilities: The Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach will assist in all aspects of a competitive Division III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field program including recruiting, program administration, and coaching all throwing events.
Responsibilities will also include:
Organizing, scheduling, and conducting practices and competitions.
Managing a budget and fundraising for the program.
Ensuring program compliance with all college, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Assisting with administrative duties such as scheduling, making team travel arrangements, home meet management, monitoring academic progress of students, roster management, collaborating with the equipment staff on the distribution and maintenance of athletic equipment, and providing the Sports Information staff with appropriate information for publications and press releases.

Bachelor’s degree at time of application
Previous collegiate track and field experience as an athlete or coach (throwing events)
Valid driver’s license
Strong working knowledge of the sport’s skills and training methods
A commitment to diversity and inclusion within the team and athletic department
USTFCCCA and/or USATF certification

Description of Department: The Oswego State athletics department sponsors 24 intercollegiate varsity sports as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC), the Empire 8 (Men’s Golf), and the ECWC (Men’s Wrestling).
