Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Director, Sports Information.
Primary Job Duties: Supervise on gameday and in office when Director is not present. Gameday responsibilities include supervising statistical students, public address announcers, and video students. Supervise the office, including overseeing graduate assistants, undergraduate students and practicum students/interns in training, and guiding through daily tasks. Press release writing. Website, statistical and historical data maintenance. Coordinate Sea Gull Sports Network including recruiting, hiring and supervising 25-30 student staff which will produce live video coverage of all home athletic events and generate video content for the athletic department. Work will include scheduling students for home events, holding regular meetings with staff, and evaluating performance of staff while working to improve end product.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of two years of experience in a sports information or athletic communication office and a Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, video production, Stat Crew, Presto or Genius live scoring software are required.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
This is a full-time, exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
