Wilmington College invites applications for the position of Senior Director of Athletics.
This is a full time, exempt level position. The Senior Director of Athletics will plan, administer, develop, and evaluate the offerings and activities of intercollegiate athletics for men and women and a broad-based program of intramural and club sports.
This position is responsible for ensuring a balanced comprehensive program and the management of the entire intercollegiate athletics program.
Additional responsibilities include but not limited to:
•Liaison between Wilmington College and external groups. •Recruitment and Retention •Work with VP of Advancement on matters of fundraising and other development programs. •Supervision of all head coaches, assistant coaches and athletic staff. •Management of departmental budgets, maintaining equipment and facilities. •Maintains compliance with all NCAA and OAC rules and standards as well as state and federal laws.

Qualified applicants will possess a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, master’s degree preferred. Strong commitment to gender equity. Clear understanding of NCAA Division III philosophy and the role of athletics in a private college academic setting. Three years of full-time coaching, a minimum of five years full time experience in athletic administration at the assistant or associate level. Recruiting and Title IX experience preferred.
