Assistant Coach, Athletics (21607B) Under the supervision of the Head Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Coach, assist with the responsibilities of a Division I Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country program in accordance with NCAA, Pac-12, and University of Utah regulations. University of Utah Job ID# PRN21607B 00327 - Athletics Department COMPENSATION: Salary is commensurate with experience WORK SCHEDULE: Candidates must also be able to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends, and be able to travel as assigned by the Head Coach.
Responsibilities will include conducting practices, recruiting qualified student-athletes, traveling to competitions and recruiting events, home competition management, and other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of two years as a collegiate coach and recruiter with an emphasis in cross country, middle distance, and distance events is highly preferred. Knowledge of and compliance with NCAA rules is required. Candidates must be able to work with a diverse group of student-athletes, coaches, support staff, and administrators. Candidates must also be able to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends, and be able to travel as assigned by the Head Coach. This position requires the operation of a motor vehicle as part of the job responsibilities. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of the University-required background checks are required.
