Assist the Head Coach in providing instruction to student athletes regarding the specific skills needed to play lacrosse, to build and inspire great teamwork, character development and overall program culture.
Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of schematic and tactical approaches to practice, games and other training sessions.
Assist the head coach in growing a cohesive and competitive program.
Assist in the monitoring of the student-athletes academic performance, ensuring compliance and progress towards degrees.
Maintaining a culture of compliance and operating within the established rule and regulation parameters set forth by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and NCAA.
Understand and abide by university standards of confidentiality and ethical decision-making.
Responsible for assisting the head coach with recruiting of student athletes throughout the United States and Canada.
Perform other duties as assigned by Head Coach and/or Athletic Administration.
High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum one to three years of advanced coaching experience. College coaching and recruiting (MCLA/NCAA) experience preferred.
Experience and willingness to work with all position groups required in Men’s Lacrosse.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Demonstrated ability to work accurately and effectively with computerized data systems. Experience working with Hudl (Krossover), ScoreBreak, and Microsoft Suite preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive working environment, spirit of cooperation and positive reactions to change and conflict resolution.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and relate well to students, parents, faculty, staff, and others while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
