A member of the Department of Athletics, the incumbent will lead all aspects of the NCAA Division I women’s volleyball program, including both indoor and beach volleyball. Responsible for all aspects of the women’s volleyball program, including practices and conditioning, recruiting, administration and budget management, player and public relations, fundraising, and supporting the academic development and graduation of players. Hires and supervises assistant coaches as well as any other staf members. Schedules and makes necessary arrangements to fulfll requirements of volleyball games. Performs other duties as assigned. The incumbent is expected to operate in full compliance with Federal, State, NCAA, Southland Conference, and University rules and regulations.
Minimum Experience Required:Three years of coaching experience at a high school level or higher.
Must have education and experience necessary to perform all functions of a NCAA Division I Head Volleyball Coach.
Beyond meeting minimum requirements, candidates will be evaluated in terms of how their experience and education have prepared them for Division I head coaching, including recruiting, planning, conducting practice and conditioning, administration and budget management, player and public relations, fundraising, and supporting the academic development and graduation of athletes.
Must be able to participate in physical activity, which will include practices.
Preferred Experience:Proven ability to coach collegiate volleyball. Position requires knowledge and demonstrated commitment to NCAA rules and compliance.
