Frostburg State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a full-time Men’s Lacrosse Intern to begin January 2019. This is a 40-hour-per-week, internship for the spring of 2019, which is renewable for an additional year based on performance. Hourly rate $10.33 with limited benefits included.
FSU boasts 21 varsity sports (10 men/11 women) The Bobcat men’s lacrosse program was restarted as a varsity sport in 2011 and quickly has become one of the top programs in the region. Frostburg is averaging nearly 13 wins per year over the last six seasons and has been ranked in the USILA Top 20 weekly polls in each of the last four seasons. The Bobcats also have had five All-Americans since the 2015 season.
Responsibilities: Assist the Head Coach with coaching and supervision of the Men’s Lacrosse Team. Help monitor and advise student-athletes to ensure academic success. Assist in evaluation and recruitment of prospective student-athletes. Other related duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one year of coaching or other related work experience. Previous competing experience at the collegiate level.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and/or two years of coaching experience. Experience coaching offense.
