Siena College has an immediate opening for the part time Athletic Communications Assistant position for the 2018-19 academic year. Siena College is located in Loudonville, NY just two miles north of Albany, the state capital. The College is a member of the NCAA and supports 21 Division I athletic programs which compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
Duties include serving as the primary media contact for assigned sports, assisting with the management and coordination of new social media initiatives, writing department publications, updating the department website (SienaSaints.com), assisting with video editing and highlights, video streaming and assisting in the communications and promotional initiatives of the department along with other duties as assigned. Knowledge of and experience working with statistical software (StatCrew), Adobe Photoshop, website editing, and previous experience working in collegiate athletics is preferred. The position requires strict adherence to deadlines, and a flexible work schedule.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and insurability at the time of appointment and must maintain such license and insurability throughout the tenure of employment. A background screening will be required.
