Applicants must have a strong understanding of athletic communications and videography trends. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, while staying organized and maintaining high standards for all work performed. Candidates must be a self-starter and be able to work together as part of a team. •Shooting, editing and creating feature, highlight and interview videos to promote athletics teams (on athletics website and through social media channels).
•Communications duties for selected sports, to include writing weekly press releases, compiling team statistics and records, reporting to the Patriot League.
•Aiding with the daily maintenance of Army’s website, and assisting with all social media efforts.
•Game day support for football, men’s and women’s basketball, hockey, volleyball and men’s and women’s lacrosse.
•Conceptualize, shoot, and edit creative video content for all Army West Point athletic teams.
•Create short-form video pieces for Army West Point social media accounts (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook).
At least one year of experience in a collegiate sports multimedia or communications office.
Broad-based knowledge of Division I athletics and NCAA regulations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Familiarity with StatCrew statistical package is preferred.
Detail-oriented and strong organizational and project management skills.
Desire to work collaboratively with a team, but also take on tasks individually.
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in a communications or digital-related field.
Strong video editing with the use of the Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Suite.
Adobe After Effects is preferred.
