Provide leadership, administration, and instruction for the women’s lacrosse team.
What will I do in this position?
Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Comply with the Athletic Handbook, especially the philosophy of athletics as well as basic rules of eligibility. •Demonstrate Christian values in attitudes, words, and actions at contests, practices, trips, meals, etc. Ensure that players and/or coaches conduct daily devotions. •Responsible for all practice sessions and game arrangements (transportation, food money). Oversee ordering of supplies and equipment, monitoring department budget. •Verify roster accuracy for eligibility sheets; periodically check with players to ensure academic effort and progress; coordinate with athletic director any eligibility concerns or questions. •Verify with Athletic Office that game day requirements are completed at least one day in advance. •Hire and supervise assistant coaches. •Represent program at required conference meetings. Responsible to respond in a timely manner to prospective athlete inquiries. •Responsible for total lacrosse program recruiting effort. •Update annually season records, team statistics and individual marks. Ensure that proper and timely statistical reports are given to the UMAC conference and the NCAA. Secondary job responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Coordinate end of season awards banquet with Athletic Director. •Assist with department responsibilities as requested by the Athletic Director.
