Executive, Executive - Associate Athletics Director
Illinois State University invites applications for the position of Assistant OR Associate Athletics Director/Academics and Life Skills (title will depend on experience and qualifications). The Assistant OR Associate Athletics Director/Academics and Life Skills, under the direction of the Athletic Director, is responsible for directing the Karin L Bone Athletics Study Center; overseeing all Athletic Academic Services staff and all aspects of promoting the academic success and retention of all student-athletes. This position serves as a liaison between administration, faculty, staff, coaches, and student-athletes. Maintains regular communication among students, faculty, coaching staffs, athletics administrators and other campus offices in order to cultivate an atmosphere that promotes academic success, retention and graduation. Develops educational plans for improvement with students.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; strong organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; minimum of five years related experience in intercollegiate athletics.
Desired Qualifications: Master's degree
The position is a 12-month position with the possibility for annual renewal. Salary and title are commensurate with experience and qualifications.
