The Strength and Conditioning Coach facilitates the strength and conditioning training of athletes. Assisting with the development of exercise routines and nutritional intake, exercise supervision, tracking athlete progress and adjusting exercise plans accordingly, the Strength and Conditioning Coach both designs and implements full-scale fitness programs. The Strength and Conditioning Coach works under the supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director.
• Design, demonstrate, and execute year-round lifting programs for 17 NCAA DII teams
• Manage lifting times and scheduling for the teams
• Cultivate relationships with all of the coaching and athletic training staff
• Oversee the weight room, equipment purchases, and equipment repairs
1.Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in related field
2.Preferred Qualification: Master’s Degree in related field, 3 years of experience at the collegiate level as a strength & conditioning coach
3.Required Certifications: Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), First Aid & CPR/AED Certified
