Executive, Executive - Associate Athletics Director, Executive - Business Manager
Texas State University is seeking applications for the position of Associate Athletic Director for Business Operations for the Department of Athletics. This position is full time and benefits eligible.
The Associate Athletic Director for Business Operations will manage the financial and human resources operations of the Department of Athletics. This position will coordinate strategic planning and policies and procedures management for the Department of Athletics. This position will manage administrative and/or operational projects as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Position duties include: serve as the Department of Athletics liaison with the university Financial Services and Human Resources leadership, supervise the Athletic Business Office operations and support staff, supervise the financial operations of the Athletic Ticket Office, develop and manage annual and long-term budgeting, oversee and verify all departmental revenue and expenditures from origination to posting, administer in conjunction with Human Resources all human resources and personnel operations, manage contractual issues for the Department of Athletics, serve as a member of senior staff and advise on matters concerning business operations, fiscal management, human resources, travel and administrative issues and other duties as assigned.
Skill in establishing rapport with internal and external constituents
Demonstrated effective communication skills
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
Knowledge of general university policies and procedures
Knowledge of centralized automated accounting systems
Experience with accounting and fiscal management
Ability to supervise staff
Master’s degree in finance, business, accounting or related field
Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics administration
Previous experience in athletics business operations
