As the Director of Operations, you will provide support for Softball and Women’s Soccer daily operations. In this role you will work with both head coaches, the Athletic Director and/or Associate Athletic Director.
Position should have complete knowledge of, and maintain strict compliance with, the rules and regulations governing the sport, recruitment of student athletes, and intercollegiate athletic competition. Supervise, if assigned, those persons and staff, including compliance by such persons, with University, The American Athletic Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
Coordinate Sport Operations. Effectively perform duties so as to assist student-athletes and coaches to attain their maximum level of performance so as to successfully compete against major college competition.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Softball and Women’s Soccer offices.
Responsible for coordinating liaison positions with strength and conditioning, sports medicine, equipment, video, dining services, academics, and compliance and all other related departments that effect Softball and Women’s soccer.
Assist Recruiting Coordinator in all aspects of official and unofficial visits.
Work closely with Head Coach, as well as the Athletic Business Office, to monitor purchases and maintain operating budgets.
Maintain player files to ensure proper documentation of parental communication, student information and disciplinary actions.
Provide assistance to Communication Office liaison in regards to Softball and Soccer information including updating and overseeing content for sport website.
Work closely with Life Skills Coordinator to arrange community service events and ensure teams are utilizing career development programming.
Oversee and direct all aspects of team travel itineraries.
Oversee and direct all aspects of the preseason training camp.
Oversee all aspects of annual letterman awards.
Complete all other tasks assigned by the Vice Chancellor, Associate Directors, and Head Softball and Soccer Coaches.
Work directly with the compliance office to ensure that the Softball and Soccer programs adhere to The American and NCAA regulations.
Comply with NCAA and The American rules and regulations.
