The ASUN Conference is accepting applications for a full-time position as the Director of Social Media. This full-time position will begin no later than August 15, 2018. Salary range is from $30,000 - 40,000. The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations. The ASUN is an equal opportunity employer. Primary Duties - Maintain, expand and develop social media accounts, while serving as both the face and voice for the ASUN Conference on all social media platforms. - Produce and distribute content (video, photo, graphic, etc.) across all social media channels. - Create social media strategy, calendar and content to share with member institutions and conference’s media relations staff. - Assist ASUN’s media relations staff as needed with in-game social media coverage and articles for ASUNSports.org. - Ensure ASUN remains up-to-date on social media trends, platforms and updates. - Work with member institutions to ensure best promotions of conference championships, special events, student-athletes, coaches, administrators and universities. - Identify important metrics and develop reports with Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations for evaluation and data-driven decisions.
The successful applicant will work in the ASUN Atlanta office. Weekend hours and evening work will be a component of the position. Flexible office hours and the opportunity for remote site working will be expected and accommodated. Applications will be accepted until July 26, 2018, or until the position is filled.
- A bachelor’s degree with three or more years of relevant experience. - Proficient with Adobe applications (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, etc.). - Excellent organizational, oral and written communications skills with both internal and external audiences. - Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. - Acute attention to detail. - Ability to work independently as well as with a team and the ability to identify and execute projects with minimal direct supervision.
